Tim Barnard Can illustration
Tim Barnard has been living and working in Vancouver since 2011. He has created murals and projects internationally and was based in Montreal for several years, where in 2009 he co-founded the En Masse movement and worked with the Under Pressure, Hochelaga, and Mural Festivals. This summer he will be creating a large installation for the inaugural year of the Vancouver Mural Festival on Kingsway and Broadway. Some of the most notable Vancouver Projects include work fore El Kartel and Fortune Sound Club. In 2014 the Royal Canadian Mint issued the commemorative artist coin: "Canada Through the Eyes of Tim Barnard" in silver and gold.
Tim grew up in Alberta and California. He first studied art in 1992 at PJ English's Tattoo Studio in Del Paso Heights, California and later multimedia and computer graphics in Edmonton, Alberta. In Calgary he Studied for 4 years at the Alberta College of Art and Design and received a scholarship for Painting at Yale university in 2000. Since then he has travelled extensively and build a portfolio primarily in black and white art.
For the can design for Good Company, Tim was inspired by the characters of Vancouver and the beauty that surrounds all of us who call this place home everyday. Tim wanted to convey the idea that the simplest pleasures in life can be simply having a good time with good friends and Good Company!
